DayRota
Built for small workshops and households

Plan the day against the hours you actually have.

Three columns for the work. A lane per person for today. Put a job on Priya's Tuesday and it tells you what still fits — instead of everybody finding out at four o'clock.

  • Free up to 3 people
  • No card, no install
  • A minute to set up

    What it does

A plan that knows the time it is planning

Most boards count cards. This one counts minutes, because what goes wrong in a small team is never "too few cards".

    Hours first

Each person has hours, and the day is what fits inside them. Anything outside them is flagged before it becomes somebody's problem.

    Board and day together

Kanban for what is next, lanes for who is on today. Drag a card out of a column and it lands on a person's day — not in a list somewhere else.

    A summary, not a guess

What was done, what slipped, and who did what — sent to whoever asks for it, once a day.

    How the day actually works

    Three minutes in

Set up once, then just use it

No importer, no configuration wizard. A space, its people, and the hours they work — then the board is the product.

    Create a space
    1. 1

Name the space and the hours

A workshop or a household, a timezone, and the week you actually work. Everyone inherits it until somebody needs their own.

    2. 2

Add the people, not the logins

Each person gets a lane. Only the people who need to sign in get an account — a child or a bench hand can be on the rota without one.

    3. 3

      Drag work onto a day

It goes where the hours are, or it says why it cannot. That refusal is the product — the rest is a board.

    Who it's for

    Two ways people use it

    A workshop

Jobs come in, somebody quotes them, they get planned against the hours the bench actually has. Everyone sees their own day on their phone.

    A household

School runs, caring, appointments and the shopping — planned against who is where, without a whiteboard nobody updates.

    Questions

    The things people ask first

The rest are on the questions page, or answered by a person — there is a form and one of us reads it.

    Does everybody need a login?

No. A person can be on the rota without an account — useful for a child, or for someone on the bench who would rather look at the screen on the wall.

What happens to work that does not get done?

The board is always today, so the day turns over on its own. Unfinished work is dealt with by the rules of the space rather than by a fresh blank page.

    What does it cost?

Free for up to three people. Then £5 a person a month, or £6 flat for a household. No card to start, and no charge for a login.

    Start on the free plan

Three people, unlimited cards, today's board. Nothing to install and no card — if it does not fit your week, you have lost a minute.
